Bilo web search is available

On bilo.ro you can already search for trains and buses in Romania. Results include departure and arrival times, operators, stations, trains, changes and available fares for your chosen date.

The train route pages automatically open search results. Timetables and sources are also available in the initial page content. Confirm times and prices with the operator; a missing fare does not mean there is no train.

Web search is available now and uses data collected from operators. Mobile apps for iOS and Android will be available later.

Connect through MCP

Add Bilo to your MCP-compatible client using the HTTP connection below. No authentication is required.

Transport: Streamable HTTP. The endpoint accepts MCP requests through POST; it is not a web page.

What the agent can do

search_trips

Search for direct trains, connecting journeys and buses by origin, destination, date and number of adults. Compare times, durations and available fares. Choose a transport mode, train class and result order.

get_trip

Check the journey again and provide available stops on each leg, train numbers, changes, waiting times and fare sources.

get_checkout_link

Get links to operators selling the tickets. For services sold through Bilo, keep the Bilo purchase link. The passenger continues on the indicated website.

Data and availability

The sources of timetables, prices and stations, together with collection dates, are described on the Data sources.

MCP uses the same search API as the website, based on timetables and fares collected from operators. It includes trains and buses even when tickets are not sold through Bilo. The catalogue of services sold through Bilo remains available separately through catalog=bilo.

Connecting journeys combine existing trains and may require separate tickets. Operators do not guarantee the connection. If a source fails to respond, the agent receives an explicit notice.

Use dates in YYYY-MM-DD. Times use the Europe/Bucharest time zone. A displayed service does not guarantee available seats; check fares and conditions before purchasing.

The agent does not create orders or make payments through MCP. Passenger and payment details are entered on the website.

Search example

“Compare trains and buses from Bucharest to Brașov for tomorrow, for two adults.” The agent uses search_trips and can sort results by price or duration.

For a connecting journey: “Show me trains from Suceava to Sibiu, including all stations and the time between trains.” Request details with get_trip, using the tripId returned by the search.

Train API

The website uses GET https://bilo.ro/search-api/v2/search, with origin, destination, date and mode=rail. It includes both direct trains and connecting journeys.

For website and app integrations, the rail API provides cities, stations, routes, stops and saved fares. See the OpenAPI documentation.

Search: GET /v1/search, with the parameters origin, destination and date. Preserve the currency, product, observation date and the is_estimateflag in your integration. Saved fares do not confirm service operation or seat availability; check these with the operator.
