For some operators, we collect information manually by phone, WhatsApp or email. Operators provide the data directly, and our team enters it into Bilo.
The collection dates below refer to public sources. Information received directly is updated based on operator communications.
We use train timetable files published on data.gov.ro, supplemented with timetables, stops, train formations and fares available on operator websites. Annual files do not include prices.

We collect timetables and fares published on the websites of operators identified in ARR registers. We retain services with departure, arrival, timed intermediate stops, weekly schedules and a published end-to-end fare. We do not collect timetables or prices from aggregators.
Locality names and identifiers come from SIRUTA_s1 2026.

Station locations come from OpenStreetMap extracts for Romania. Lines between stations on the map are schematic.
We link cities to their stations and bring services together in one search. Bilo calculates connecting journeys from available timetables.
The displayed price may come from an offer observed at the operator, a published fare or a calculation based on its fare table. We preserve collected offer amounts and their class, passenger and reservation context. For connecting journeys, the total is the sum of fares for each leg, and tickets are purchased separately.
We update the data when we collect new information. The collection date shows when we observed the information; the validity period shows the interval for which it was published. An observation for one day does not automatically confirm the fare or service on another day.
Search uses saved information and does not check seat availability in real time. Confirm the times, price and exact schedule with the operator before purchasing.
Public provenance is also available in JSON format. For data integration, see Bilo for AI agents.
